Sobrassada is one of the most typical products of Menorca. It is a raw cured pork sausage made with pork meat and it has a very characteristic red colour due to the presence of sweet and spicy paprika. It is internationally known as its flavour and delicious taste make it pleasing to the palate. Our poltrú is a thick sobrassada made with pork from Menorca and it is artisanally produced one by one. The pork meat is minced, mixed with the species, and individually stuffed into the pork cecum. Once ready, it is sewn and brought to the natural drier where it will remain for a minimum curing time of 4 months.
As Poltrú is especially thick, the interior is really tender and perfect to spread on a toast of bread. Slices can be eaten cold or softly grilled. It is delicious by itself but it also combines well with bread, cheese, pasta and honey. To enhance its taste and quality, a glass of tinto is always a plus.

- It is advisable to keep it in cool and dry place.

Der Paprikageschmack kommt voll durch. Kannte ich bereits aus meinem Urlaub in Menorca. Die Lieferung 4 Tage ist o.K. Der Menchego Käse ist besser wie hier beim Käsehändler. Danke!
