The Pu-erh tea is also known as red tea. It comes from the region of Pu-erh, in Yunnan, China. It was formerly used solely and exclusively by the Chinese noble and was kept that way for hundreds of years. The fermentation process for this variety of the Camellia Sinensis can last from 2 to 60 years in bamboo barrels, which makes the leaves turn to a copper color and, in turn, the tea turns the same color.
